37 - from here to timbuktu

i would have to say that the week i had after that post below, was one of the weirdest ones i spent in CT. weird in a way that it was like a rollercoaster of emotions. but i would have to say that the good outweighed the bad and this was the time when i was really enjoying my stay to the fullest, and everything was just going great.

i did a lifestyle shoot in this house, that i wish i lived in. it was so cute and everything looked staged but it's a real house with real people. after that i met up with friends to have some ethiopian food! it intantly became a fave hangout because it's on long street, and since we were already there, we went shopping afterwards. it was a tuesday night, so naturally, we went to asoca bar to chill. quite an interesting night, with interesting people...

it was one of those full fun packed days when i did anything and everything.

house number 0? yea i dont get it either...

i thought those wall silhouettes were so cute!

this is how chill this shoot was
i keep fogetting how hard "working" is...

timbuktu! ethiopian restaurant
(upstairs from the pan-african market)

tea & shisha
(we did this at night)

decor
the place is just a terrace and its pretty tiny
service is slow but food is sooooo gooooooddd..

l.o.v.e
thirst quencher on a hot day

washing our hands before our meal

my mouth is watering as i remembered how good this was
the yellow dish is vegetarian and the other two are like meat stew
you eat it with that sourdough kind of bread/wrap
fckin amazing

and the best part is, you get to eat with your hands!!!

just tearin that shit up
very pleased with everything and we came back over and over again

we got called for a casting commercial after this so we had to leave
woulda been a good chill day just sitting there for hours

drinks at asoca bar that night
(yes, there's a tree inside the bar)
my wardrobe change from dinner meant changing into flats and putting my hair up;
i talked with sense and  humour; i ate meat pie at 3am; im filipino from toronto.
best of all, i can dance.
a very deadly combination apparently.  it's the last part that always seals the deal.

after the bar, me, sanny, marshall and scott walked down to long street to look for a cheaper cab to flag. the cabs right outside the bar charge way too much. while walking at 230am, i remembered thinking to mysef, wow, this was what i was warned NOT to do. but the fact that i was doing it and it was safe and fun with friends, felt so liberating. i love this city, and this city loves me.
