53 - hiking up lion's head

its weird how ive seen so many awesome places in the world, yet i stayed in cape town for a few months and not once did i ever stop getting amazed by the place. it was just that beautiful. i was even more amazed when i saw it from a different view - on top of lion's head mountain. the same mountain that i see each and every day because i have a great view of it from my flat. it was also the first time ive ever climbed a mountain from bottom to the very top. it was wild! and very worth it once i got there. the view from the top is just as esquisite. just when i thought cape town couldnt have been more beautiful...

52 - for art's sake !

ive done plenty of great photoshoots while i was in capetown. i pretty much made a whole new portfolio. i cant remember how many photoshoots ive done in total, it's been that many. ive also shot in different parts of the world and those ones have always been my favourite. every shoot ive done out of country always had a great story that ties in with it. here's one of them...

[L] yes, we were doing makeup "on location" which happens to be the streets!

[R] wardrobe change in the car! one time i wish i wasnt so tall with such long limbs...

[L] i love doing silly outtakes, theyre the fiercest! lol

im doing beauty shots, but as you notice my toes are still pointed.

the pics turned out amaaazing, almost anime like. this was the last look of the day (out of 3).

how much luckier can a girl get? doing one of her favourite things to do in one of her favourite places, which not the average person can do and where not a lot of people i know have been.

51 - last friday night

the start of a another endless night of debauchery

we partied at jade nightclub (rightfully so on a thursday) and we passed by this new club that just opened and it looked pretty 'happenin'' so we checked it out. no cover, line bypass and all!

i dont think i made it home that night. all's i know is that it was 4am and we're on the street somewhere figuring out where to go next. then a chick in lingerie opens the door thinking she'll have a boy suitor on call, but instead it was a major BURN. she threw us out. awesome times ! she hated me eversince.

50 - wet & wild

i dont lie when i say i would do anything to get a great shot. with that said ive pretty much shot in some outrageous weather. extremely cold, extremely hot, wet, freezing - you name it. the video below is a perfect testament of it. sure the beaches of south africa are one of the best ive seen (and ive seen a whole lot), but the water is just FRIGID! i dont think i can stand with my feet in the water for more than 30 seconds. any longer than that and i'd get hypothermia. okay maybe im over exagerating a little bit (that and maybe i dont have enough bodyfat in me to stay warm long enough) because this place is also a surf haven. but the point is, this shoot required me to be IN the water for a long time. as you can see, there were times when i was actually submerged completely. man, thinking about that moment gives me shivers, but it was all worth it, as i did get real money shots !

sad to say, i did get sick after this and had put me out of commission for a couple of days.

but needless to say, my time wasnt wasted since i was able to catch up on correspondence and catch up on sleep. otherwise i'd still be up partying all day, everyday.

below are photos of the beautiful view at camps bay beach, where the water is apparently "warmer". yea right. as you may notice, ive also lost a lot of weight at this point. no rice and frequent visit to the gym does that to you. i offset it with intense amount of alcohol though, so it's all good :)

49 - when work was fun

getting away from the norm was good, but getting away from my day job was best. i'll leave my job again in a heartbeat if it means coming to work with this as my "office" and my biggest "stressor" if you even call it that would be changing up my smile to give more variety to the photographer. like really, now.

48 - tuesdays with twins

around this time during my trip i knew my trip was coming to an end quite quickly and it was sad because i've gotten so used to everything - culture, directions, LIFE - as well as meeting and getting to know such amazing people around the world and learning to try 5 different accents at once. but i lived every single day as though it was my last, and i made sure i hung out with as many new friends as i could, and met new ones as though i was there to stay...

47 - GTL

who wouldnt love a life of indulgence?
tanning at the beach, drinks at the patio with friends, dancing and partying at night. it didnt get old, only better.

mmm, grenadillas! frozen real fruit grenadillas are our favourite treat while at the beach

sometimes we even use beach as an excuse just to get those - yummy!
