53 - hiking up lion's head

its weird how ive seen so many awesome places in the world, yet i stayed in cape town for a few months and not once did i ever stop getting amazed by the place. it was just that beautiful. i was even more amazed when i saw it from a different view - on top of lion's head mountain. the same mountain that i see each and every day because i have a great view of it from my flat. it was also the first time ive ever climbed a mountain from bottom to the very top. it was wild! and very worth it once i got there. the view from the top is just as esquisite. just when i thought cape town couldnt have been more beautiful...

conquering lion's head peaks at 669 metres (2,195 ft) above sea level

finally reached the top! view from both sides were equally magnificent.
cape town looks beautiful from up top.

at the edge of the cliff for a photo-op, and of course getting my asian on (lol)

beauty

its such a shame that my photographs can't capture the true essence of how spectacular this was and how happy and liberating it felt to be there. i wish i can share that, but unfortunately these photos will have to do. click to images to enlarge.
