46 - robben island

so i finally talked the girls into doing something touristy slash educational trip and went on a ferry ride to robben island ! i feel really blessed to have seen this in person. even more cool because i did a project on apartheid in highschool.

45 - apartment tour

ive been really bad at posting the rest of my african adventure, but here's a video that ive tried to upload ever since i filmed it (which was during the first 2 weeks of my stay). it was too big to do a direct upload so i opened up a youtube account. that's pretty much opening up a big can of worms !




a lot of stuff had changed since i filmed that. first of all, i had three roommates in total which was way too many, but if you've been following my blog, you know why! the beds have been separated and we've gotten a bigger fridge. im kind of happy that i was never placed in a model house (co-ed). one of my friends have to leave her apartment because it was just chaos. i know the studio apartment seems very small with no privacy, but ive spent a few nights away from "home" when im not feeling it (or too out of it to make it home). at least there's some way of escape somehow, right?

44 - V&A waterfront

oops, totally forgot to upload an album! the V&A waterfront is a one stop shop. it's a huge mall, but people dont only go there to shop, but to hang out. there's always something to do. on a random day, we would get some frozen yogourt and just sit by the water. or at night we would catch a late movie and have ice cream. i've posted photos of the side of the mall i believe. this is now the other side of the bridge, where there's more to see!

43 - the love you seek and more

before i begin, i'd like to say that this post is inspired by this video/song. i suggest you watch this video first and then it'll make this post way more interesting, trust me. just sayin...

i love love love being spontaneous. when you just pick up and go with no hesitations and worry about anything. it took me awhile to embrace this kind of lifestyle (because even my randoms are calculated somehow), but it feels oh so liberating.

it was a monday morning and i was still in bed because i didnt have any castings at all. my phone rings and it was scott and tim telling me to get up my ass and to come out in 5 mintues."bring sunscreen and swimsuit". i did as they asked, and the day turned out fantastic! we went on a random road trip and we were gone for 24h.  it was crazy fun. at least the parts that i remember...
